1.3-Methods

1-15 Woodcutting
Welcome to woodcutting! At this stage of your woodcutting level, you’ll start off slow. So go grab your bronze or iron axe and head to Lumbridge! Once in Lumbridge go to the Lumbridge guide and then head to the sheep pen. Once you find the sheep pen head South to Draynor Village. You will see a lot of goblins and trees. Start cutting normal trees untell you achieve 15 woodcutting. If you want to get firemaking experience, burn your logs.
15-30 Woodcutting
Now you can cut oaks. You can cut oaks in the same spot you’re at now, or head to Varrock. If you decide to go to Varrock, head south untell you see oak trees. You will notice that these don’t cut down down after one log, You can get many logs from trees now.

Free to Play:30-60 Woodcutting
You can now cut Willow trees. These are fast and good experience. If you want to make fast money, go to Draynor Village and chop willow trees there, because they are right beside a bank. Note:There are dark wizards here and they will attack you if your a low enough combat level.

Pay to Play:30-60 Woodcutting
Once you can cut willow, it is one of the best ways of getting 99 woodcutting. Head to Tilvary lake and you will see many willows. This is a very good place to train your woodcutting and firemaking, but if you want to make money, cut willows it Draynor Village.
Once you achieve 45 woodcutting, you are able to cut maple trees. This is also a good way, and better money and experience. Maples are pretty close to a bank, they’re just behind Seers bank, or if you want many, so to the rail road tracks and follow that tell you get to a farming patch. Note: The path is up a hill, where you will see many maple trees. You can stick to willows, or maples your choice, but many people stick with willows;).

Free to Play 60-75 Woodcutting
You can now cut yews but slowly. I suggest you stick with willows, untell atleast 70+ woodcutting. Yews are slow at first but once you get 70+ you should be able to cut them at a nice speed. But if you really want experience stick with willows, if you want cash, cut yews.

Pay to Play: 60-75 Woodcutting
The best thing I would do, is what I said above. But for members, you can choose either maples or willow trees. I would suggest maples because they are fast experience, and are close to a bank so if you want to make some money, that would be how at this level.

75-99 Woodcutting
Now you can cut yews at a nice speed, and you can also cut magics. I would NOT suggest cutting magic logs EVER! Only cut magic trees if you want money, or don’t have enough money to buy magic logs for fletching. The fastest way to 99 woodcutting would be Maples, Willows or Yews. Magic’s do give the most experience, but they are slow to cut, and many people cut them, so they only last a few minutes at the most.

1.4-How to make money

There are many ways to make money by Woodcutting. One is cutting maples/willows near a bank and banking. This is fast experience and fast money.
Another way is by cutting yews or magic trees, both are a good amount of money, but they can be slow at times, especially magics.
The last way I’m going to tell you is the best way to make money. This involves 2 high skills to be done. Cut yews or magics, and fletch them. This is a very good way to make money and even 1000 bows can sell for over 500k!

1.5-Randoms

While woodcutting you may receive a random event. It can be any random event that you would usually get, but there are a few that you only get while woodcutting. Those would be bird nests and Tree Spirits.
Bird nests are a second ingredient in herblore, it is used to make a sara brew, I do believe.
Tree Spirits are randoms that will attack you, it is just like an Evil Chicken or Rock Golem. Their combat level depend on your combat level, just like Evil Chickens or Rock Golems. They drop axes from steel-rune. It is possible to get nothing from them, or coins. Beware, they can kill you fast if you have no armor on.
