Introduction
Prayer is useful in many ways, it contributes towards your combat level, it helps you with completion of quests and is useful for pk-ing/general combat. There’s no specific way to train the skill, except for buying/obtaining bones, and burying them. The skill can be very costly if you decide you wish to pay for the bones.
When you Pray, your prayer level will decrease. But if you find an Alter and Pray at it, then your level will increase back to it’s normal level. Alters look like this:
Some Alters will increase your Prayer level slightly over your actual level (For example, the Alter at the prayer Guild). Though it won’t stay at that level forever.
Prayers:

Thick Skin | 1 | Increases your Defence by 5%
Burst Of Strength | 4 | Increases your Strength by 5%
Clarity Of Thought | 7 | Increases your Attack by 5%
Sharp Eye | 8 | Increases your Range by 5%
Mystic Will | 9 | Increases your Magic by 5%
Rock Skin | 10 | Increases your Defence by 10%
Improved Reflexes | 16| Increases your Attack by 10%
Rapid Restore | 19 | Doubles the speed to restore stats which have been degraded (Does not affect HP nor Prayer Points)
Rapid Heal | 22 | X2 Restore rate
Protect Item | 25 | Allows you to keep one additional item if you die (only 1 if you are skulled)
Hawk Eye | 26 | Increases your Range by 10%
Mystic Lore | 27 | Increases your Magic by 10%
Steel Skin | 28 | Increases your Defence by 15%
Ultimate Strength | 31 | Increases your Strength by 15%
Incredible Reflexes | 34 | Increases your Attack by 15%
Protection from Magic | 37 | Provides protection from Magic attacks
Protection from Range | 40 | Provides protection from Range attacks
Protection from Melee | 43 | Provides protection from Melee attacks
Eagle Eye | 44 | Increases your Range by 15%
Mystic Might | 45 | Increases your Magic by 15%
Retribution | 46 | Deals damage to the people around you if you die
Redemption | 49 | Will provide health for you if you health falls below 10%
Smite | 52 | Causes any players who are attacking you to lose one prayer point for every 4 hit points removed from you
