No more MMORPG

I have now stopped playing Runescape. I have stopped playing World of Warcraft. And I haven’t even played Age of Conan until my game account expired. It’s great in a way. Now I spend time working instead. I’m sure that very few of you guys are actually interested but my new projects are a site selling sex toys, and a site about sökmotoroptimering (search engine optimization in Swedish). The latter is my new hobby that I have instead of playing MMORPGs.

If you need professional help with your Runescape adventures, we recommend you buy RS gold here. Though there is still talk about if they are technically breaking the anti real world trading rule, as they are no longer selling items, just gathering the means to obtain the items for you. And of course, if you are one of those that multitask with World of Warcraft, you can find World of Warcraft gold for sale here.

Champion’s Guild Guide

Date: August 8, 2009

Comments OffCategory: Guild Guide

>Where is it?

The Champion’s Guild is south of Varrock. Go to Varrock square where the fountain is, and run south near the dark wizards. Go a little west to the tree area and you will see a quest symbol. This is the Champion’s Guild.

>What do I need to enter?

To enter, you need to have accumulated a total of at least 32 quest points.
Features of the Guild

>Entrance Floor

The Champion’s Guild is home to a few characters (whom you will learn about later). There is a chicken area outside where you can raise your magic or ranged levels on the chickens, which proves useful to lower levels.
>Upstairs/Floor 1

Upstairs there is Scavvo and Valaine. They will happily sell you various pieces of armour (see their shops below). Scavvo does not sell rune plate bodies.
>Downstairs/Underground

Below the entrance floor there is a Champion’s Challenge Arena, which you can access by climbing down the trapdoor.
This is continued in another section below, click here.
>Characters

The Champion’s Guild is the guild of champion’s. The GuildMaster is always welcome to have a champion within the guild, and is quick to welcome you. You can start the Dragon Slayer quest by speaking to him here.
>Scavvo

Scavvo is located upstairs, and will sell you his rune wares:

>Valaine

Valaine will sell you some black and adamant pieces. Black can only be bought in free to play here. It cannot be smithed.

>Champion Scrolls

Champion Scrolls can be acquired from the following monsters:
Imps ——– Goblins
Skeletons —- Zombies
Giants ——- Hobgoblins
Ghouls ——- Earth Warriors
Jogres ——- Demons
Killing monsters in these races in excessive amounts, you might find they drop a Champion Scroll. You may have noticed Larxus if you have entered the arena, he is the game master. If you’d be so lucky to get one of these scrolls, use it with Larxus and he will explain the mini-game to you. In basic, you have to fight the champion monster from the race. These range from the level 14 imp champion, to the 162 Lesser Demon champion. Some of these are not as easy as you may be thinking, no, there are rules to each fight. Larxus will explain these rules, so make sure you pay attention to them. These include stopping the user of armour, prayer, magic, ranged and melee from the battle, so you must be equipped correctly. If you speak to Larxus and he says you aren’t allowed to use Magic, and that is the attack style you have been equipped with, leave, and return with a more suitable method.

The gain from these isn’t a lot at all. It would be more of a self challenge rather than a game related one, and in my opinion, it is a time-waster to go out and kill monster’s specifically for scrolls. However, if you stumble across one, give it a go!
Please note: These fights are treated as regular fights. You will lose items if you die here!

Before The Quest

Requirements: None.
Difficulty: Easy.

Items Needed:
Shears. (To get Shears, there are some in Farmer Fred’s house. Another place to get them is the General Store which costs only 1gp.)

Starting point:
Farmer Fred’s house in Lumbridge.

Starting the Quest

Speak to Farmer Fred and tell him “I’m looking for a Quest!”
He’ll ask you to shear his sheep since the sheep have too much wool. Bring him back 20 balls of wool.
Sheep Shearing

Now go outside of his home and “Jump-over Stile.” You will need to shear 20 sheep to finish this quest. It’s suggested to have your “Run” option on since the sheep may run away when you try and shear their wool. Once you have all 20 pieces of wool, head off to Lumbridge Castle and go up the staircase and go to the spinning room. Spinning each piece of wool receives 2.5 Crafting experience.

Finishing the Quest and the Rewards

Once you have all 20 balls of wool, talk to Farmer Fred to finish your quest.

1.3-Methods

1-15 Woodcutting
Welcome to woodcutting! At this stage of your woodcutting level, you’ll start off slow. So go grab your bronze or iron axe and head to Lumbridge! Once in Lumbridge go to the Lumbridge guide and then head to the sheep pen. Once you find the sheep pen head South to Draynor Village. You will see a lot of goblins and trees. Start cutting normal trees untell you achieve 15 woodcutting. If you want to get firemaking experience, burn your logs.
15-30 Woodcutting
Now you can cut oaks. You can cut oaks in the same spot you’re at now, or head to Varrock. If you decide to go to Varrock, head south untell you see oak trees. You will notice that these don’t cut down down after one log, You can get many logs from trees now.

Free to Play:30-60 Woodcutting
You can now cut Willow trees. These are fast and good experience. If you want to make fast money, go to Draynor Village and chop willow trees there, because they are right beside a bank. Note:There are dark wizards here and they will attack you if your a low enough combat level.

Pay to Play:30-60 Woodcutting
Once you can cut willow, it is one of the best ways of getting 99 woodcutting. Head to Tilvary lake and you will see many willows. This is a very good place to train your woodcutting and firemaking, but if you want to make money, cut willows it Draynor Village.
Once you achieve 45 woodcutting, you are able to cut maple trees. This is also a good way, and better money and experience. Maples are pretty close to a bank, they’re just behind Seers bank, or if you want many, so to the rail road tracks and follow that tell you get to a farming patch. Note: The path is up a hill, where you will see many maple trees. You can stick to willows, or maples your choice, but many people stick with willows;).

Free to Play 60-75 Woodcutting
You can now cut yews but slowly. I suggest you stick with willows, untell atleast 70+ woodcutting. Yews are slow at first but once you get 70+ you should be able to cut them at a nice speed. But if you really want experience stick with willows, if you want cash, cut yews.

Pay to Play: 60-75 Woodcutting
The best thing I would do, is what I said above. But for members, you can choose either maples or willow trees. I would suggest maples because they are fast experience, and are close to a bank so if you want to make some money, that would be how at this level.

75-99 Woodcutting
Now you can cut yews at a nice speed, and you can also cut magics. I would NOT suggest cutting magic logs EVER! Only cut magic trees if you want money, or don’t have enough money to buy magic logs for fletching. The fastest way to 99 woodcutting would be Maples, Willows or Yews. Magic’s do give the most experience, but they are slow to cut, and many people cut them, so they only last a few minutes at the most.

1.4-How to make money

There are many ways to make money by Woodcutting. One is cutting maples/willows near a bank and banking. This is fast experience and fast money.
Another way is by cutting yews or magic trees, both are a good amount of money, but they can be slow at times, especially magics.
The last way I’m going to tell you is the best way to make money. This involves 2 high skills to be done. Cut yews or magics, and fletch them. This is a very good way to make money and even 1000 bows can sell for over 500k!

1.5-Randoms

While woodcutting you may receive a random event. It can be any random event that you would usually get, but there are a few that you only get while woodcutting. Those would be bird nests and Tree Spirits.
Bird nests are a second ingredient in herblore, it is used to make a sara brew, I do believe.
Tree Spirits are randoms that will attack you, it is just like an Evil Chicken or Rock Golem. Their combat level depend on your combat level, just like Evil Chickens or Rock Golems. They drop axes from steel-rune. It is possible to get nothing from them, or coins. Beware, they can kill you fast if you have no armor on.
1.6-Quests for Experience

There are some quests that do give you woodcutting experience, and I thought I would help you out by telling you them :).
An Enlightened Journey-1500 Woodcutting experience
Hero’s Quest-1575 Woodcutting experience

Introduction

Prayer is useful in many ways, it contributes towards your combat level, it helps you with completion of quests and is useful for pk-ing/general combat. There’s no specific way to train the skill, except for buying/obtaining bones, and burying them. The skill can be very costly if you decide you wish to pay for the bones.

When you Pray, your prayer level will decrease. But if you find an Alter and Pray at it, then your level will increase back to it’s normal level. Alters look like this:

1.1-Pyre Logs

Once you have completed The Shades of Mortt’on, you will be able to burn Pyre Logs. These are special logs that you use for getting keys, and let you access a cave where you can find lots of Treasure. You get any kind of log, and go to the town of Mortt’on. You will need to do the same thing as you did in Shades of Mortt’on, by fixing the temple. Once the temple is fixed, you can light the fire in the center. Use your Olive Oil on this fire and it will turn into Sacred Oil. Put the oil on the Log, and run over to the burial grounds. Lay the log on one of the pillers, and you will receive a key. Note: You can obtain Olive Oil at the Shop in Mortt’on.
Note: All of these Logs are members.

These are Pyre logs, available by adding sanctified oil to a normal log. The colours are slightly different, otherwise the same.

1.4-Methods

1-15 Firemaking

Welcome to the world of Firemaking. It is very expensive if you buy all your logs, but most people agree that it is worth it. For 1-15 Firemaking, burn normal logs untell you reach oaks.
15-30 Firemaking
Now you can burn oaks. It should have taken you about 30 minutes to get here, if you cut your own logs. Anyways, oak logs are much faster then normal logs, by 20 experience.

30-60 Firemaking
Willows are the best way to get your Firemaking up, without it costing a lot. If you don’t care for money, then burning willows to 45 Firemaking would be an idea. You can burn Maples at 45 Firemaking, and you get an extra 45 experience, but they cost 3 times as much.

60-75 Firemaking
You can now burn Yew longs. They are quite deer in price, so you may want to stick with willows or maples. I myself use willows because they don’t cost that much, and are nice, fast experience.

75-99 Firemaking
Magic trees are the best of all for experience, but cost the most. If you use magic trees, you will have to be rich in order to get enough for 99. Magic logs cost around 900-1000gp, each. Best thing to do would be to stick with willows or maples. Yews aren’t too expensive, and they are worth the money. A typical firemaker would spend 14-16M on yew logs for 99 firemaking, compared to 30-40M on magics.

1.5-Places to Firemake

Well, there are lots of places to Firemake, but only a few good places. One is in Draynor. The bank is close by, and there are 3 lines for you to firemake if there is more then 1 person there. Another is in Seers Village, it is close to a bank, and 3 lines to firemake in. Yanille is also a good place to firemake, not many people firemake here, and it is an awesome place to firemake, with over 5 lines to firemake in. The last good place to firemake is in Port Phasmatys, it is very close to the bank, with 3 lines to firemake in; lots of people firemake here, so it could get challenging. Also, if you firemake here, always have your ghostspeak amulet, ALWAYS!

1.6-Helpful Tip

If you have completed Throne of Miscellania and Royal Trouble, you can order the people to get you supplies. If you get your respect to 100%, put your maple gathering full. This will make it so your people will get you around 1000 maple logs a day. You will also be able to put 1 more thing about half way (Flax, Herbs, other Trees, Coal, Fishing). But it costs 75,000gp a day to do this. So if you have completed Royal Trouble, you can put a max of 7,500,000gp into the bank of the island, and this will get your people to collect the things you want them to, for 100 days.
